Satellite TV dish threat to residents

Court action could be taken against 15 property owners in Oswestry for having satellite TV dishes on the wrong part of their walls or roofs, council bosses warned today.

The homes and businesses are in conservation areas in Oswestry town centre, Whittington and Llanymynech.

Planning chiefs claim they have ignored previous warnings to move or take down the dishes - which can only be installed on certain parts of a property in conservation areas.

Councillors will be asked to approve enforcement notices at a meeting tomorrow.
